대한민국은 세계 10위의 경제강국으로 한강의 기적을 이루어 낸 나라이다. 그런데 이렇게 될 수 있었던 이유에는 기독교가 있었다.

일제치하 때 일본은 우리 나라를 정신까지 완전히 망가트리기 위해 술, 매춘, 도박 등 온갖 더러운 것에 취하게 만들려고 했다. 그러나 당시 청교도 정신의 선교사들과 믿음의 선조들은 그것이 옳지 않고 대한민국을 망가트리는 일임을 알았기에 필사적으로 저항했다.

이 당시 우리 나라에 왔던 선교사들은 엘리트 중의 엘리트였다고 한다. 모든 부귀영화와 평안한 삶을 포기하고 조선이라는 나라에 왔던 그들의 순결한 순종과 희생으로 대한민국이 일어설 수 있었다.

대한민국은 현재 경제적으로 어렵고, 정치적으로 그리고 국민들이 분열되어 굉장히 어렵다. 누구도 책임을 지지 않고, 거짓말만 일삼는다.

하지만 다른 사람만 탓해서는 안 된다. 우리가 먼저 하나님 앞에 나아가 무릎 꿇고 기도해야 한다. 회개해야 한다.

거룩한 코리아가 되려면 회개해야 한다. 그리고 사랑해야 한다. 하나가 되어야 한다.
