Suffering produces character. However, Samson had great anointing but lacked character. * If you find yourself in a time of suffering, now is the time to press into God. Let your roots grow deeper. * Whenever there is a famine, tree roots are forced to drive deeper into the soil to find water. These times of suffering are designed to create such a deep-rooted faith that our natures will be changed forever. <nowiki>The second son he named Ephraim (=twice fruitful) and said, “Is it because God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering.”</nowiki> ==== Day 3: Resolving the Ownership Issue ==== * We are to be stewards of all that he entrusts to us. * God is the source of that ability. As soon as we become owners and not managers, we fall into trouble with God. * ‘’’Success can lead to pride if we are not careful.’’’ * Ask the Lord today if you are living as a steward or an owner. Lewis</nowiki> * ‘’’Love’’’ is the selfless, giving, devoted love of God and others. It’s an active display and compels us to put others’ needs above our own. Love honors others and ‘’’celebrates truth no matter how difficult it is’’’ to hear it * ‘’’Joy’’’ is a deep and enduring state of our soul that no circumstance, event, or human can steal away from us. * ‘’’Peace’’’ is a deep well of confidence that God is who He is and that He will do what He says He will do. <nowiki>The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6, NIV) Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7) Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!</nowiki>
