"Newtro" is a newly coined word made by combining the words 'new' and 'retro'.

• It refers to ~을 가리킨다. ~을 의미한다. (It means that ~ 은 너무 강함)

It refers to re-interpreting things from the past.

• hit the market 시장을 공략하다

As the "newtro" trend hits the market, companies have re-designed their product packaging.

• a conversation starter 대화를 시작하게 하는 것

I believe these retro-style foods could be a conversation starter between the old and young generation, thus reducing the generation gap.

Old-time snacks can be seen on the shelves.
